Kathleen Flammia

athleen Flammia graduated in 1988 from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law, after completing her undergraduate work at the University of South Florida.
Kathleen is a board certified Elder Law lawyer, making her a legal expert in this area of law. She is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, which is the highest rating a lawyer can receive. Kathleen is active in numerous civic and community organizations. She is the Chair of the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Resource Center and she has served on that Board of Directors for seven years. She is also on the Board of Directors for CERA (Community Education Resource Affiliation, Inc.). Kathleen is a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys; Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys; Orange County Bar Association; and the Florida Bar (Elder Law Section). Other affiliations include: Past Chair of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee “C”; and past member of the Florida Bar Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee “B.”
Kathleen began her career at the Orange County Public Defender’s Office. She practiced criminal defense for 15 years before focusing her practice in Elder Law. Kathleen presently uses her extensive courtroom experience, negotiation and counseling skills to provide expert guidance in the area of Estate Planning, including Special Needs Trusts, Medicaid Planning, Guardianships and Probate.
